Pinewood Stock Can material. Various shots of anti-nuclear campaigners trampling over barbed wire fence. They have a sign reading ’Direct Action Against Nuclear War’. They appear to be members of CND - the Campaign For Nuclear Disarmament. An Army or RAF officer comes out to meet with them and ask them to leave the base. VS as the demonstrators stage a sit down protests against the construction of the nuclear base. Military officers turn the water cannons on them. Construction workers spray the protesters with hoses as they try to block work by standing in front of lorries. Various shots of bemused construction workers looking on at protesters. Various shots of CND march through town centre. Lots of banners and CND signs - very typical peace march. VS as marchers arrive at police line and are warned from going any further. VS of protesters laying down in front of construction vehicles going into and out of site. Policemen drag the protesters (many of them women) out of the path of the heavy lorry. As o
