Matthew 6 - Look At the Birds || Bible in Song || Project of Love

Worries. Anxiety. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed by them. And who could blame you, right? I mean, look at the world around you. Where’s the off-switch on this thing?! I love what Jesus says about this. It’s as profound as it is simple: “look at the birds.“ (Matt 6: 26) What does it mean? I can tell you what it means to me. Birds aren’t afraid to fall down. They aren’t afraid for tomorrow. They live in the now. They live today, not tomorrow. In a sense they are the perfect example of how to trust God. They teach us to trust. Trust the One that has made them, that has made you. And Jesus goes on to say, if God cares for them, how much more will He care for you. You are His beloved. Look at the birds. Take your eyes off of your problems, your worries, of your..(fill in the blank), of yóu. Take a breath and take a look at God’s goodness. He will give you what you need for today.
