Bodyprint: Biometric Authentication on Smartphones using the Touchscreen as a Scanner

Bodyprint is a biometric authentication system that detects users’ biometric features using the capacitive touchscreen as an image scanner. Bodyprint scans users’ ears, fists, phalanges, palms, and fingers when pressed against the display, extracts features, and identifies users biometrically.
