Laphroaig is defined by its rich history of Taste Trailblazers. People who, through strength of character and dedication, have endeavoured to create a unique single malt Scotch whisky. From Ian Hunter and Bessie Williamson to today’s Distillery Manager Barry MacAffer and Assistant Manager Pamela Ferguson. To launch our Taste Trailblazers program, Laphroaig invited world-famous Fire Chef Francis Mallmann to visit Islay, meet Barry and explore our island and distillery. We follow Francis on his journey across Islay as he meets the Laphroaig distillery team and other Islay locals, learning about what makes Laphroaig unique and preparing a meal inspired by his experience.
