Mistakes were made (parachute emergency landing)

Bad planning to jump to another unfamiliar airport leads to bad spotting that leads to bad decisions under the canopy that leads to a landing on a forrest road between tall trees. Had to use all the skill I have to walk away, usually I prefer to make plans that I know I can pull off without having to give all I got left. I could give a bunch of excuses why this happened, but the truth is that I just did terrible choices to try to get to the small landing area, instead of making the call on time to land safely on the fields behind me, once it became clear the airport was a no-go, it was too late to turn around and the road was the only option I had left.
