Captain Walker’s Burial At Sea (1944)

Unissued / unused material - dates and location unclear, though thought to be the funeral of Captain Frederic John Walker, which took place on 11th July, 1944. He was buried at sea in Liverpool Bay. Liverpool, Merseyside. VS of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. Shots of flag draped coffin being carried down steps. Sailors stand as guard of honour. The coffin of Captain Walker is placed on a gun carriage and is pulled by sailors. Parade through streets. The Coffin is lifted onto ship.
