Bus Details Volkswagen Type II flatbed pickup truck Registered in 1958 in Oklahoma USA Imported to the UK in 2013. Running a 1955cc Longblock Type2 engine built in California by Chico Performance Racing Jet Details Rolls Royce 1986 Viper 535 Jet Engine The engine came out of a BAC 167 Strikemaster jet, these aircraft are a military version of the Jet Provost and could be armed and used as light fighter jets. The engine was decommissioned in approximately 2009 and sold by then owner North Wales Military Air services Date of 535 kg Stage Axial stage impulse/reaction turbine combustion chamber Fuel Atomising type starter burners and 12 primary main vaporising type burners. Fuel Flow @ Max ,420 lb/hr (8.3 gallons per minute) High energy spark ignition modules, 6J @ 3kV. ,450 lbs Jet Pipe Nozzle “ Maximum ,760 RPM Self Sustaining ,513 RPM (11%) / AVTUR / AVGAS / AVTAG or Kerosene. Oil bearing & gearbox - scavenge system. Main & rear bearing -metered loss system. wheel front & back by 7th Stage air. Approximate air speed at full power………800 MPH Air consumption at full speed…………..…….
