The Rolling Stones Live, 02/05/1965, Ed Sullivan Theatre, NY

Yeah, the second time now. For their up and coming 3rd tour of the United States, they kick it off just like time with a national appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show (fun fact, according to Stone Alone, Bill Wyman’s autobiography, they turned down playing on the London Palladium for as the band thought that while the Ed Sullivan show had all kinds of artists from different walks of life, London Palladium was very middle-aged humour, and the Stones didn’t vibe with that). This time around, the Stones played 1 original (technically 2), their latest single, “The Last Time“. And 2 songs from their latest US album, “The Rolling Stones, Now!“ (“Little Red Rooster“, was a top ten single in the UK). The band played at the start and end of the show, with the only live “2120 south Michigan Avenue“ appearing as the end credits played. Setlist: The Last Time - 0:04 Little Red Rooster - 3:35 Everybody Needs Somebody To Love - 6:10 2120 South
