I’ve made the ugly decision to switch over to Unreal. This means we’re effectively having to build the game all over again. We still have all the models, sounds, music, textures, and animations though.
Yes, this means the game will look and feel different than the current alpha build on itch. But just like Unity’s project was based in experimentation, this version will be as well.
TLDR: Our QA people are going to be busy. This is not the final result.
Considering this is what we’ve done in the first week, I think we’re starting to look good. Credits to Hexebyte for developing an entirely new workflow for level design that’ll allow us some -gorgeous- environments.
If Epic attempts anything similar to what Unity just did, we’re committed to switching to Godot. We won’t stop.
