Ilse Cello & Papa Pipe Organ, Cavatina Religiosa by Arnold Krug

I spent the week in Murwillumbah with my parents. It was wonderful to play with my father again after about 15 years. The last time was in Ireland with Norbert playing on the organ he put in and rebuilt in Ballinrostig Church in County Cork. Lots has happened since then. I found this piece by Arnold Krug and searched everywhere for a different copy, as page 7 is missing. We just improvised an end to get around it. The rector of the All Saints’ Church in Murwillumbah very kindly allowed us to play the lovely organ. It was built by C.W. Leggo, Sydney, 1926 2 manuals, 18 speaking stops, tubular-pneumatic action Moved to present church 1960, and electrified 1973 H.W. Jarrott, Brisbane 2 manuals, 20 speaking stops, electric action Restored 1998 W.J. Simon Pierce, Brisbane Additions 2010 W.J. Simon Pierce, Brisbane 2 manuals, 22 speaking stops, electro-pneumatic action
