Benoît Sauvé feat. by WDR BIG BAND - Cyanophaia Bicolor (rehearsal)

CYANOPHAIA BICOLOR - composed by Benoît Sauvé / arranged by Torsten Maaß / video by Mattis Cederberg In June 2017, I’ve been invited as a soloist by one of the most prestigious Big Band in the world, the very famous WDR BIG BAND. This is one of my compositions arranged by Torsten Maaß. Improvised solos by: Andy Hunter (Euphonium) / Johan Hörlen (Sopranino Sax) / Benoît Sauvé (Recorder) / Hans Dekker (Drums). “Cyanophaia Bicolor“ is the Latin name for the Blue Headed Humming Bird, a native to the Antilles, which might explain the calypso touch.
