Petrona Martinez ... the Queen of Bullerengue {Colombia}

Barrio Latino presents a living legend from Colombian music. Petrona Martinez has been contributing to Colombian folklore during all her life, she started to sing earlier than to talk. Her life has been fully dedicated to write a huge page in the Colombian traditional music history, taking Colombian music beyond the oceans to different parts of the World. Barrio Latino is a project that helps to preserve world music by helping the musicians to immortalise their heritage providing them of decent profesional recordings, music videos and media material to be up to date in this 21 century. Hopefully with this tools they can expand their music and their name and get the people more interested in a kind of music than sadly is slowly disappearing.
