Backbeat (1994) - “I’m Sorry“ - Stuart Sutcliffe dies

In this devastating scene the first Bass player of The Beatles dies of a brain haemorrhage, on 10th Aprile 1962. His girlfriend, Astrid Kirchherr, announces it to the band. This is of course a “romanced“ version of what actually happened: Form Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia: “After collapsing again on 10 April 1962, he was taken to hospital, but died in the ambulance on the way there. The cause of death was later found to have been a brain haemorrhage – severe bleeding in the right ventricle of his brain. “ “On 13 April 1962, Kirchherr met the group at Hamburg Airport, telling them that Sutcliffe had died a few days earlier.“
