Mexico: Pro-lifers protest Supreme Court decision on decriminalisation of abortion

Subscribe to our channel! Around 6,000 protesters gathered outside of the National Auditorium to participate in the ’National March in Favour of Women and Life’ in Mexico City on Sunday. Several different pro-life organisations and the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate called for the rally to protest against the country’s Supreme Court resolution passed on September 7 that declared the criminalisation of abortion unconstitutional. Protesters were holding up religious banners showing Jesus Christ and the Virgin of Guadalupe as well as signs reading, ’yes to life’ and ’my heart beats’ as they proceeded through the city. Activist Claudia Guadalupe Mojica called the court ruling a ’culture of death’ and said that a lot of citizens do not agree with the decision. “We are not in favour of abortion, we want life.
