Quadraphonic Front/Rear Comparison of Pink Floyd’s ’The Dark Side of the Moon’ by Alan Parsons

I simply cannot express how amazing it is to be completely immersed in this album. For me, It’s like hearing it for the first time, times ten. Mastering engineer, Alan Parsons took full advantage of the Quad format, by ping-ponging sound effects, and the crazed laughter around you. On ’Us and Them’, the echos circle around you, rotating the sound field each verse. If you have the proper equipment, and the source material, I urge you to experience it for yourself. I recommend experiencing this with four full range speakers and a Quad receiver, but any DTS capable home theater receiver will also do the job. Even with bookshelf/satellite speakers and a subwoofer. This unreleased (at the time) Alan Parsons Quad mix has been available since 2006, via a pirated copy supposedly made from the master tapes. As of September 27 2011, you can legally acquire this Quad mix in DTS form via; “The Dark Side Of The Moon - Immersion Box Set“ on disc 3
