The Atkins Diet became popular in the early 2000s, and Atkins’ book was marketed, becoming one of the 50 best-selling books in history, and 1 in 11 adults in North America. the claimant is following this regime. Atkins passed away in 2003.
The low-carbohydrate diet restricts carbohydrate consumption compared to the average diet. Carbohydrate-rich foods (e.g., sugar, bread, pasta) are limited and replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of fat and protein (e.g. poultry, fish, shellfish, eggs, cheeses, nuts and seeds ), as well as low-carbohydrate foods (such as spinach, kale, turnips, bok choy, and other fibrous vegetables).
