Abstracted sadness - Mario’s mystery meat pixel animation (read description plz)

Music: I planned to finish this project back in summer of 2023, but then got distracted by job, other drawings and later - world’s crisis and my broken mental state. First half of the animation was finished in sping 2023 0:00 - 0:44 I could bring myself back only in the december of 2023, and finally finishing the project now 0:44 - 1:52 I will be honest - I am not very happy with the result. I was making the animation in Pixilart and bringing it together in AE (adding some noise on top). Learning how to implement my ideas while making animation was the reason why I was making a lot of mistakes, the entire short is held by duct tape. The first half in particular looks very stiff and upsets me. But at this point I just wanted to finish this animation already and move on, so I didn’t change anything.
