The US and Saudi Arabia have agreed to eventually “build on” the US-brokered negotiations to normalise Israel-Saudi ties, the White House said. US President Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) spoke on Oct. 25, The two leaders “affirmed the importance of working toward a sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians”. MBS called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, rejecting the targeting of civilians. This comes as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed regret at “lack of unity” among Muslim countries in response to the Israel-Hamas war.
