🌠This INSANE Origami Falling Star Changes Color On Impact!💥
[Intermediate] How to fold an Origami Falling Star that instantly changes color on impact! This model evolved out of my failed attempt to design a 3-D Star container requested by my dear friend, Miyala. To fold it, you need 8 squares of paper, no larger than 6-inch, and origami paper (“kami“) works best, though printer cut into squares works good too. The hinges attaching the 8 units should be creased as little as possible, because their springiness is what enables the model to suddenly transform. Eventually, after performing the drop enough times, the springiness will fade to a point where the star will no longer completely flip. However, as I show at the end of the tutorial, you can still use it as a cool origami fireworks fidget toy that rotates about itself like a hexaflexagon, and you can attach two of them together to form an even cooler looking hexaflexagon. The demo of the drop at 0:15 was odd in that the star flipped in the opposite direction. I didn’t even recognize it
