China condemns Bidens claims over Taiwan

Beijing has condemned Joe Biden’s remarks over Taiwan, stating Washington will take firm action to defend its sovereignty and security interests. Earlier the U.S. president said America was ready to intervene militarily if China was to ‘invade the island territory’. The White House, however, afterwards said those comments didn’t signify Washington’s policy shift.
