[68sec] 진흥왕 순수비, Bukhansan Monument

북한산 순수비는 신라의 진흥왕이 새로 넓힌 국경지대를 순시한 후 555년 경 세운 것으로 추정된다. The inscription praises the Silla King Jinheung’s (540-575 CE) territorial expansion into the Han River valley. 뒤편에 무수한 총탄 흔적이 남아 있는 등 그 손상이 심하다. 거대한 돌덩이를 그 높이에까지 올려놓았을 이름없는 이들의 노동에 머리 숙인다. 원본은 국립중앙박물관이 소장되어 있다. It commemorates the occasion when the king came and inspected the new borders of his realm. I also commemorate the laborers who climbed with this huge stone up to this height. The original monument has been kept in the National Museum Of Korea.
