Gene Barry originally starred as Amos Burke, the millionaire captain of Los Angeles’ police homicide division, in the 1963-1965 ABC-TV series “Burke’s Law.“ ( In 1994, producer Aaron Spelling revived the series for CBS-TV and brought Barry back, this time partnered as a deputy chief of the LAPD, partnered with his son, Peter (played by Peter Barton).
