Kyzylorda region holds emergency flood fighting activities

Abundant rainfall and thaw in Zhanakorgan district of Kyzylorda region led to melting of snow in the mountains and provoked floods. Dirty water stream from the mountain slopes flooded out directly onto Zhanakorgan village. Streets and houses are flooded. Residents with emergency workers built sandbags guards. The local Department of Emergency set an extraordinary regime of service. Rescuers are taking all the measures possible to keep the situation under control.
