A Japanese song sung by a Filipino WWII veteran

A Filipino World War II veteran learned a Japanese song while in prison. This is the song. Title unknown. The veteran passed away in 2001. This video originally in Video 8 format, was filmed in December 1987 and has been lost for years. It has been converted into dvd just recently. The veteran was imprisoned by the Japanese in a POW camp in Camp O’Donnell. He was an officer of the 75th Inf, USAFFE.
