Machi Kadaile | Arko Mukhaerjee | Nepali Folk Song | Darjeeling Sessions Live | Koustav Dey

This song is a tribute to the folk music of Nepal and the tunes of the mountains all over the world. Shot and played Live in Darjeeling near the borders of India and Nepal, this travel session is a long due respect to all Nepali speaking people across the world. Machi Kadaile is a beautiful song from Nepal inspired by ancient folk poetry and traditional tunes, previously performed and revived by great Urban and Rural artists like Diwas Gurung and Dilu Gandharva. Special thanks to Mr. Gurung and his father for their contributions to the regional music of Nepal. It was initially curated by the great Sudan Sharma. In this version Arko has been accompanied by one of the most humble and under-rated guitar geniuses from the sub continent, Mr Koustav Dey, an amazing musician, teacher and friend to many. The video has been edited and shot live, by Uparjan Rai and Shivam Darnal from Darjeeling. Uparjan’s Insta id : The audio is recorded on location, mixed and mastered by
