I AM NOT UPLOADING ANY MORE WALKTHROUGHS TO THIS ACCOUNT. SUBSCRIBE HERE IF YOU THAT’S WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IT FOR: did I choose to walkthrough this game? Anyway, here it is. The walkthrough for LR2. For some reason it would have taken way more time to save this had I put both parts together instead of splitting them, so I split this into two parts. This game is very love-it-or-hate-it. In fact, that’s an understatement. I’m on the hate-it side, but there are people out there who like this game. Anyway, let’s begin. Sandy Bay: I decided to show off the builder for a little bit before picking an actual car. I really liked the way they did this world, is it was based around character interaction, and that was a good idea. Sadly, they took the lazy way with other worlds and used “warp rooms“ like Crash Bandicoot’s, and that’s really a shame. This world isn’t too bad. Dino Island: I. HATE. THIS. WORLD. Good gosh, I cannot stress this enough. It’s one of the worst examples of an early difficulty spike. To begin with, the tracks in this world are repetetive and monotonous. The fact we get boring music that gets very annoying after a while does not help at all. I had to redo several of these races a lot, especially Sam Sanister’s. Speaking of him, he has the worst track in this world. It’s way too long for being a one-on-one race, and trust me when I say I got really tired of redoing it. I eventually had to do a minigame so I could get a speed boost. Mars: I got another boost upgrade before going here, and then another one in the middle of it. Safe to say I went overboard, as the computers didn’t even stand a chance. By the way, even though I did collect a few, I will not be going for every golden brick. Your only reward is fireworks, which I really don’t feel is worth getting. I will be withholding my full opinion on this game because the opinions range from “it’s an amazing game and better than the first“ to “this game is a disgrace“. The main thing I don’t like about this game is that there is very little room for error. Making a single mistake puts you out of the race with no chances of coming back in. Unfortunately, a lot of that lies in the poor level design -- if they wanted to go with an open-world checkpoint based system of racing, fine, but fix the levels to compensate! There’s very little barricading to keep you from veering off course, and if you do, most games that do this system right have a timer that plops you back on the track if you stay off course for too long. If you go off course in this game, though, tough luck; you may very well just shut off the game. The horrible traction does not help that issue in the slightest. To summarize everything else, I found the power-ups worthless, the worlds made me feel like I was playing the same track five times sans Xalax, the music to be boring, and there was a desperate need for more unlockables. I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this game, but I just couldn’t.
