Yes-No Health Exercise - Instructional Series for Eurythmy

In this video, we show you Rudolf Steiner’s confirmation-negation health exercise. Rudolf Steiner says that when a person makes an expression of will or judgment, he does it not only with his head, but with his whole being. When we now make the corresponding eurythmic movement, this also affects more than just the mind. For confirmation, we place the left foot formward in a quarter circle across the left, in front of the other foot. However, we do not place all our weight on this foot so that we do not step out of the middle. Yes (3x) For the negation, we place the right foot backwards in a quarter circle across the right, behind the other foot. But again without putting all the weight on this foot so we do not lose the centre. No (3x) There are two ways to perform the eurythmic movement confirmation-negation as a health exercise. First, we can repeat the confirmation and negation several times in a row, for example, 10 times the confirmation and then 10 times the negation. We can also alternate 10 between both, yes - no - yes - no ... To achieve a health effect, these exercises need to be repeated. It can also be done at a faster pace. The confirmation-negation health exercise has a positive effect on breathing.
