Schuricke and his Terzett are accompanied by the excellent Hans Carste orchestra. Carst took over the Ludwig/Lewis Ruth orchestra after Ruth left Germany and continued to make high quality recordings with the band. “Reginella Campagnola“ by Eldo and Bruno di Lazarro was one of the big hits of 1939 and was recorded by many orchestras and singers. In English speaking countries it was known as “The Woodpecker Song“ and recorded by the likes of Glenn Miller and The Andrews Sisters...
