►Are you feeling slop from the subframe of your Volvo? The subframe on Volvo P80 and P2 chassis has four rubber bushings that can develop wear over time, causing you to feel general looseness while driving. Replacing the bushings themselves can be a pretty intensive job, so if you are looking for a quick fix tighten things back up, a good alternative are these subframe inserts from Powerflex.
In this DIY, Jacob Maller takes you through the steps needed to get the job done quickly. This is a fairly easy job consisting of only needing to remove the main subframe bolt and the two bolts that hold the rear bracket on, after which you can slide the insert right into the voids of the bushing. This can be done in your driveway with a minimal amount of tools.
