Saarschleife -Mettlach/Saarland The path meanders about 800 meters through beech, oak and Douglas fir trees and reaches a height of 23 meters. Once here, the path spirals over the treetops up into the air and ends in the 42-meter-high observation tower, which offers a breathtaking view of the Saarschleife valley. The view also opens up to the green hills of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and, on a clear day, even to the Vosges. The maximum gradient of 6% also makes it possible for wheelchair users, families with prams and people with walking disabilities to easily manage the 20 meters in altitude.
