DRendo - Unusual gingival lesion mimicking a sinus tract

In this video I am describing an unusual gingival lesion resembling a sinus tract. Pulp tests for the adjacent teeth yelded normal responses and periodontal probing allowed to exclude a vertical root fracture. Radiographs did not show periapical changes. Surgical exploration under anesthesia revealed that the wound was caused by a seed that had been packed deeply into the thickness of the mucosa. Histologic examination showed that the seed had germinated. Healing occurred promptly after removal of the foreign materials.
