Maxim Shalygin in an interview with Aad van Nieuwkerk

Aad van Nieuwkerk in conversation with composer Maxim Shalygin about the project ’Severade’ that was performed during November Music 2021 by Maya Fridman and the Cello Octet Amsterdam. The 25 instruments were specially built for this project by visual artist, instrument builder Rob Van Den Broek (QEM Foundation). Elisabeth Muller, Cengiz Arslanpay , Martine Bloem, and Paul Janssen made an important contribution to the development and construction of the instruments.
