Halo 2 - In Amber Clad Cover (ft. Chromatic Apparatus)

Welcome to Installation 05. Off the rock, through the bush, nothing but Jackal. Finally got to cover some Halo! I love these soundtracks, and I’m very excited to share this. Many thanks to Chromatic Apparatus for that sweet cello action About this arrangement: This one is all about dynamics and layers. At the core of the composition is a repeating bassline/riff. So, in order to keep the track flowing and evolving, the layers or “toppings” become even more important, as well as the very way this riff is interpreted. Take, for instance, the rhythm guitars: “power chords” - heavily muted single notes - single notes - shutting up (bass only) - on the seventh string with a heavy attack. Same notes, different results. This, in conjunction with changes in the drumming (more/less busy patterns, cymbal work, attack, etc) and layers (tremolo picked lead lines vs long sustained notes), keeps the track dynamic even though there’s not much harmonic movement g
