As a 3rd year med student, I was assigned to do 6 weeks of vascular surgery (or hell, as I like to call it). At the end of a particularly long case involving suturing every blood vessel in the entire body, the surgical fellow was growing impatient with the speed in which the anesthesiologist was waking the patient up from a 7 hour case. The surgeon made a grave error he hopefully never made again. He asked, “what’s taking so long?” This prompted a particularly menacing drape glare from the anesthesiologist, who then replied “you know I don’t have an on/off switch back here.” We all laughed. 10 years later I turned this interaction it into a skit which is now my most popular video to date. 00:46 - Surgery Add On I try my best to av
