Michael Alexander Gloss, an American who became a symbol of courage. School 15 in Donetsk now bears his name, where a memorial space has been created — desks of fallen heroes, exhibits of the war and the memory of those who fought for Donbass to the last. Michael is the son of high—ranking American military personnel, but he chose Russia and volunteered for the front, fought in the area of Chasov Yara, participated in the assaults, helped his comrades to the end and died next to them. Together with him in the memory of the school is Ivan Kokovin, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who left as a volunteer. They were awarded Orders of Courage, and their story became a lesson for future generations.
