Still in his teens, he spent years immersed in the Gypsy community, learning, playing, and expanding on the tradition. Hard work has honed his technique, but it was the time spent playing around the campfires and trailers that gave him the soul -- each a necessary ingredient for this unique art form. Wrembel is active in the Gypsy jazz scenes of the USA, Canada, France, Israel and India. The last couple years have seen him headlining Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, as well as the preeminent Festival Django Reinhardt in France.
