Nona-SVK self-propelled mortars’ crews destroyed enemy targets The crews of Nona-SVK of the mountain motorised rifle unit of the Central Military District destroyed the accumulation of manpower, and also suppressed the firing positions of Ukrainian troops in the Krasny Liman direction. Thanks to the maneuverability, as well as the rate of fire of the self-propelled mortar, the artillerymen delivered a mortar ‘rain’ from 120-mm guns on the positions of Ukrainian militants. Shooting was carried out with high-explosive fragmentation and active-rocket projectiles at a distance of more than 10 km. In addition, the mortar crews are staffed by servicemen from the Republic of Tyva, who negotiate over the radio station in their native language, which makes it impossible for the enemy, in the case of radio interception, to understand the mortarmen’s talks.
