Hornpype: Mailieder/Songs for May - Kuhlohorn Duet

May is my favourite month, so I’ve been exploring some of the many trad tunes written for this lovely time of year. Here’s a traditional song for May to see it off on its last day! The Tune: “Der Mai“ (trad. German) The Instrument: Performed on a historical restored Kuhlohorn Fluegelhorn from 1900, built by the instrument’s original builder Ernst David of Bielefeld, whose shop closed in 1945.
