Transonic Buffeting: CFD simulation
Simulation of the transonic buffet phenomenon over the OAT15A aerofoil. Results obtained as part of PhD research project at the department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Sheffield.

Flow conditions:
Mach ; Reynolds Number 3e06; Incidence 3.5 degrees.

Mathematical and Numerical Method:
Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) with Reynolds Stress Model (RSM) turbulence closure.
Equations have been solved using Finite Volume Method (FVM) second order time and spatial discretisation. Dual time marching scheme employed with a timestep of 10e-5 seconds.
