[ Audio available at ] Kalevalan kymmenes runo Sammon taonta. Väinämöinen palaa kotiin ja lähettää Seppo Ilmarisen Pohjolaan tuulen tietä. Pohjolan emäntä lupaa tyttärensä Ilmariselle, jos tämä takoo Sammon. Ilmarinen rakentaa sepän pajan ja ryhtyy taontatöihin ja lietsoo lopulta tuulet puhkumaan ahjoonsa. Louhi the mistress of Pohja promises his daughter to Ilmarinen if he can forge the Sampo. Ilmarinen fashions a forge and uses the power of the winds to make the Sampo. Louhi is delighted to get the Sampo, but her daughter doesn’t want to marry Ilmarinen, who goes home dissapointed.
