Me and drummer Jordan Rose just fell into a vibe and I knew I didn’t want to forget it, so I recorded it on my phone. A month or so later when I got back home, I took what I liked, developed a theme here and there, wrote some new parts, and put it all together. I had never gone about writing that way before, almost reverse engineering the song. What came out didn’t remind me of anything specific, but rather a wash of color.
