03-03-2024 Sanford, TX - New Wildfire Named - Roughneck Fire - Back Burn Operations

An evacuation order was given for the town of Sanford, TX. Local, state, and federal firefighting resources converged on the area with multiple apparatus, including aerial support. Firefighters conducted a back burn op at the dam to clear fuel between there and the west front of the fire.
