G-Lokporträt (11): Fairlie 99 161 DR

Die sächsische Maschinenfabrik Richard Hartmann in Chemnitz lieferte 1902 für die mit einer Spurweite von 1000mm ausgestatten Rollbockbahn in Reichenbach im Vogtland drei Fairlie-Lokomotiven aus. Die Loks der sächsischen Bauart I M wurden später von der DRG als 99 161 – 99 163 übernommen. Diese sehr seltene Bauart mit einem Kessel und zwei getrennten Feuerbüchsen im Stehkessel nahm sich LGB/Märklin an und brachte 2022 davon zwei gewichtige Highend-Modelle heraus. Einmal die heute noch beim Traditionsverein Rollbockbahn e.V. beheimatete, nicht betriebsfähige I M 252 alias 99 162 mit Kesselverkleidung und dann die leider schon verschrottete 99 161 DR ohne Kesselverkleidung. Diese doch recht ungewöhnlichen Metallmodelle hinterlassen nicht nur wegen ihres Gewichtes von ca. 9kg einen bleibenden Eindruck. Es dampft so aus ziemlich allen Kanälen, sehr faszinierend anzuschauen. Ein kleiner Lapsus ist den Entwicklern dann allerdings doch passiert, es fehlt nämlich die Dampfpfeife. G-Locoportrait (11): Fairlie 99 161 DR In 1902, the Saxon machine factory Richard Hartmann in Chemnitz delivered three Fairlie locomotives for the Rollbockbahn in Reichenbach im Vogtland, which was equipped with a gauge of 1000mm. The Saxon type I M locomotives were later taken over by the DRG as road numbers 99 161 – 99 163. LGB/Märklin took on this very rare design with one boiler and two separate fireboxes in the standing boiler and brought out two heavy high-end models in 2022. Firstly, the non-operational I M 252 alias 99 162 with boiler cladding, which is still based at the Rollbockbahn e.V. traditional association, and then the unfortunately already scrapped 99 161 DR without boiler cladding. These quite unusual metal models not only leave because of their weight of approx. 9kg a lasting impression. It’s steaming out of pretty much all channels, very fascinating to watch.
