Australia’s panda lease to expire in 2024

Australia’s lease of two giant pandas is set to expire in November 2024. Adelaide Zoo is confident the panda’s future is secure. Used as a geopolitical tool by China, giant pandas are often gifted to build relationships with countries across the globe. China has begun to recall many pandas from the West. It is like none will call the United States home by the end of 2024.
