Wild Chinese Mantis - Macro View

Found this little guy on the patio today. A wild little thing! Loves to jump all over the place. I believe it is a Chinese mantis (Tenodera Sinensis) which are indigenous to this area. This one was young, only around 2“, but they get up to about 6“. Since he (or she) didn’t find any food as I followed his adventures through my garden (you can see him reacting to a wasp he would have liked to have eaten at about 0:29), I fed him three fruit flies before sending him on his way.
