Hold on to your wits as we drop this week’s Dempend. To counter-balance last week’s groovy mellowness, Studio Roosenberg and ourselves bring you the destructive force of Aufhebung. Coming out of a tumultuous 2020 swinging for the fences, Aufhebung describes their sound as an amalgamation of slow sludgy riffs and frantic screeching guitars, melancholic harmonies and dissonant droning. A reflection of a world in decay. Today’s band gently knocks on your door, then rips it out of its frame, kicks over your grandma’s Ming vase, repairs it delicately, steals your neighbor’s car and replaces the engine with eight wind-powered ecological hybrid sunflower fueled cylinders. 🌳🤘🌳🤘🌳🤘🌳🤘 FFO: Amenra, Neurosis, Pelican, Greta Thunberg.
