Sinicuichi (Heimia salicifolia) Sun opener

Sinicuichi is a narrow-leaf deciduous yellow flowering shrub in the loosestrife family. It is native to the southern tip of Texas through Mexico and Central America. The history of Sinicuichi goes back to Ancient Mexico where it was traditionally used by Aztec shamans as an entheogenic plant used to enter an altered state of consciousness in order to facilitate healing.
