I could’ve edited Boston and Nick in a million different ways. Between the R scenes, the toxicity and the unrequited love, I had a range of songs to pick from. Yet, none of them felt as right as this one. So depressing, so calm, and yet so incredibly accurate. Boston and Nick have been my favorite couple since the beginning and, despite Boston’s shortcomings, I’m really looking forward to his redemption ark. “Only Friends“ has awakened something in me that I can’t even comprehend. The characters are so complex and messed up, they’re addicting.
