This song is included in this channel’s Japanese song playlist Ringo Oiwake Apple Folk Song Lyricist: 小沢不二夫　(Ozawa Fujio) Composer: 米山正夫 (Yoneyama Masao) Originally sung by 美空ひばり (Misora Hibari) in 1952, the melody is the same as a Chinese song called 蘋果花 (Apple Blossom) which was popular in the early 1960’s in Asia. Teresa Teng performed this Japanese song at the Year-End TV Song Program in Tokyo, Japan in 1986. Unfortunately, she never sang the Chinese version.
