Drei Equale für vier Posaunen (Three Equals for Four Trombones)

The trombone section of the Concert Band performs Ludwig van Beethoven’s, “Drei Equale für vier Posaunen“, first performed at the Old Cathedral, Linz in 1812. This piece was not only performed at Beethoven’s funeral in 1827, but the state funerals of Prime Minister W.E. Gladstone and King Edward VII and has since become a staple in trombone repertoire. Performers include Staff Sgt. Anthony Colella, Sgt. 1st Class Carmen Russo, and Master Sgt. Todd Sturniolo on Tenor Trombone, and Master Sgt. Wesley Ballenger III on Bass Trombone.
